Sony has shown its commitment to PlayStation VR2 (PSVR 2) users by unveiling four exciting new VR games set to release over the next year.

The company provided details on these upcoming PSVR 2 titles in a recent PlayStation Blog post. The games, which include Dreams of Another, Grit and Valor – 1949, Hotel Infinity, and Meteora, promise to deliver diverse and immersive virtual reality experiences.

Dreams of Another

Leading the lineup is Q-Games’ new addition to the PixelJunk series, Dreams of Another. Although previously announced, the latest showcase offered a fresh glimpse into its captivating gameplay. This title will enhance exploration of surreal worlds through both first-person and third-person perspectives in VR. It is scheduled for release on PC, PlayStation 5, and PSVR 2 later this year.

Grit and Valor – 1949

For those who prefer a more action-packed experience, Milky Tea Studios’ Grit and Valor – 1949 may be the perfect choice. This real-time tactics rogue-lite game allows players to manipulate alternate history WWII battlefields as though handling actual military models. Set for release on August 21, 2025, it promises a hands-on interactive VR experience.

Hotel Infinity

Studio Chyr, known for Manifold Garden, is applying its puzzle-solving prowess to VR with Hotel Infinity. This game challenges players to navigate through a series of mind-twisting puzzles within a slightly eerie hotel environment. It is expected to launch later this year, offering a unique twist on perspective and reality.

Meteora

Completing Sony’s new offerings for PSVR 2 is Meteora, a space racing game that casts players in the role of a meteor. Described as a “combat racing” game, it aims to deliver a vibrant and explosive racing experience, with a focus on climbing the leaderboards. This game is slated for release in 2026.

Sony launched the PSVR 2 as a successor to its original VR device in February 2023. Despite its advanced features and technology, initial reports suggested a lackluster start. However, Sony later announced that the PSVR 2 had nearly matched the original PSVR’s launch figures, with sales nearing 600,000 units six weeks after release.

By March 2024, however, Bloomberg reported that Sony was pausing production of the PSVR 2 to clear existing inventory. Recently, it was also revealed that the popular game Beat Saber would cease support for earlier PlayStation VR models. Despite these challenges, the announcement of four new games indicates Sony’s ongoing commitment to the PSVR 2 platform.

Today’s announcements demonstrate that Sony continues to invest in the future of PSVR 2. For additional information, you can refer to our original PSVR 2 review, where the device received a 9/10 rating.
