Star Wars: Zero Company to Be Officially Revealed From Respawn and Bit Reactor This Weekend

Following a minor leak last week, EA has officially announced the name of its upcoming Star Wars game and the development team behind it. The game, titled Star Wars: Zero Company, is being crafted by Bit Reactor, with collaboration from Lucasfilm Games and Respawn.

Details about Star Wars: Zero Company are still sparse, but it has been described as a “single-player turn-based tactics game”. Fans won’t have to wait long for more information, as EA plans to unveil the game during the Star Wars Celebration event in Japan on April 19.

Bit Reactor, the studio developing the game, is a newly established strategy game developer, staffed by industry veterans who have previously worked on notable titles such as XCOM, Civilization, Gears of War, and Elder Scrolls Online. Founded in 2022, the studio has been known to be working on a Star Wars title in collaboration with Respawn, but only now have specific details about the project begun to surface.

The extent of Respawn’s role in the development of Star Wars: Zero Company remains somewhat ambiguous. Respawn has faced several challenges recently, including the cancellation of their own Star Wars FPS last year, extensive layoffs at EA, and the scrapping of another multiplayer FPS incubation project just a month ago.

Further information on Star Wars: Zero Company will be disclosed during a live panel scheduled for Saturday, April 19 at 4:30 PM local time in Japan. For those in the U.S., this translates to 12:30 AM PT and 3:30 AM ET, so you might want to set your alarms if you plan to catch the event live.
