Snail Mail Joins Forces with Dinosaur Jr. for a Summer Tour
This summer, indie rock bands Snail Mail and Dinosaur Jr. are set to embark on a joint tour, starting on July 15 in Deerfield, Massachusetts, the home state of Dinosaur Jr. The tour will take them through various cities including Brooklyn, Boston, Nashville, Detroit, Chicago, Boise, among others, concluding on August 8 in Seattle. Throughout the tour, both bands will be supported by Easy Action. Below, you can find the complete tour schedule for Snail Mail and Dinosaur Jr.
Lindsey Jordan, the creative force behind Snail Mail, released her latest album, Valentine, in 2021. Post-release, she has unveiled a few demos from this album, which have been compiled into a 2023 EP. Additionally, in 2023, she collaborated with Thurston Moore of Sonic Youth to create a cover of Lou Reed’s Transformer hit “Satellite of Love” as part of a promotional campaign for Fender.
Similarly, Dinosaur Jr. released a new album titled Sweep It Into Space in 2021, with some tracks co-produced by Kurt Vile. In the following year, the rock veterans reissued their 2009 album, Farm.
