Bloc Party Celebrates 20 Years of Silent Alarm
In 2023, Bloc Party’s groundbreaking debut album from 2005, Silent Alarm, will reach its 20th anniversary. To mark this milestone, the British band known for their role in the post-punk revival movement, will perform the entire album live during a special anniversary tour across North America. Fans can also expect to hear other popular tracks from the band’s discography. Joining them on this celebratory tour will be the Canadian band Metric, who will perform their 2009 album Fantasies in its entirety. The schedule for these performances can be found below.
This isn’t the first time Bloc Party has taken Silent Alarm on the road; they previously toured with the album in 2018 and 2019. Their latest studio album, Alpha Games, was released in 2022. In anticipation of their 2022 live shows, including appearances at Glastonbury and at Crystal Palace Park in London, Bloc Party released a new track titled “Flirting Again.” Additionally, Bloc Party’s lead vocalist, Kele Okereke, recently introduced his solo project, The Singing Winds Pt. 3.
