Ever wondered what it would be like to turn your dream of becoming a professional DJ into a reality? Here’s your chance to live the dream. UMM (Underground Music Movement), the Italian fashion brand which lets fashion and music take center stage along with Submerge, India’s leading dance music artist management company, powered by Pioneer DJ is curating a contest called the ‘UMM CIRCUIT‘, a platform for aspiring DJ’s to showcase their skills nationwide.

The application process to the competition is fairly simple, login to UMM Circuit, upload your EDM track and get a chance to win. The entries are meant to be sent by uploading online and the winner will be chosen based on 2 parameters; votes from followers as well as judged by the mentors. The highlight of this competition is the mentorship programme which boasts of a star-studded lineup such as Tuhin Mehta, Nawed Khan, DJ Clement, DJ Mash, Julia Bliss, DJ Skip and DJ Ivan, who will be a part of the jury picking finalists from each city.
The DJ contest will be held at Central Malls in the following 5 cities i.e. Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore, Pune and Ahmedabad. Based on the follower votes, four DJ’s from each city will be selected for regional finals which will be held at their respective cities. After which, one winner form each city will meet for the finale to be held in Bangalore and will open for headlining act Sick Individuals.
At the Bangalore finale competition, which will be held on 16th October, the winning DJ will get:
  • Professional DJ gear powered by Pioneer DJ
  • One year “Artist Management contract” with Submerge
  • Opening Set with International act at the finale
  • Pro DJ/producer course in your city

The runner-up DJ also wins exclusive DJ gear.

Below mentioned are the dates and cities of the regional events:
  • 30th September – Mumbai with DJ Clement & Nawed Khan @ Central Mall, Mumbai
  • 1st October – Ahmedabad with Nawed Khan @ Central Mall, Ahmedabad
  • 8th October – Delhi with Dj Skip / Dj Mash @ Central Mall – Aerocity, Delhi
  • 9th October – Pune with Julia Bliss @ Central Mall, Pune
  • 14th October – Bangalore with Tuhin Mehta @ Central Mall, Bangalore
  • 16th October – FINALE – Bangalore with DJ Ivan and finale set by Sick Individuals @ VR Mall, Bangalore
