Watch This: Momentum, The Latest TV Show On Electronic Music, Gets Its First Look

With dance music becoming more and more embedded in popular culture, a number of production houses have decided to cash in on the trend by making films on the genre’s ever growing popularity. The first major attempt with a film, We Are Your Friends, failed miserably, while Netflix’s attempt with the recent XOXO, has garnered some positive reviews from critics and fans alike.

Continuing with the trend, a new TV series is set to make its entry into the fold in the form of Momentum. Created by Michael C Morello and directed by Spencer Zabiela, the show features Michael Morris, a bedroom producer, who gets embroiled in fame and the subsequent lifestyle of touring and drugs, after his track is leaked onto the internet. Based on true events, the show will hopefully be a departure from the cliches that surround dance music, and portray a real insight into the dance music culture.

The show’s pilot episode is expected to be premiered this fall. In the meanwhile, check out the trailer here below:
