If Spotify, Apple Music or Tidal weren’t enough options for you in the music streaming services available, a brand new player is all set to enter the market for further more competition.
Enter e-commerce giant Amazon, who is all set to launch a new paid subscription platform for its music subscription streaming service, for $9.99 a month. According to Reuters’ sources, Amazon is finalizing licenses with labels for the service, which likely will be launched in late summer or early fall.
āA music service will further increase the daily interactions between Amazon and its customer base,ā said former music executive Jay Samit when told about the company’s plan.
While Amazon’s streaming service isn’t expected to pose much of a threat to Spotify, it might end up giving Apple Music some competition.
