Health issues in the dance music industry aren’t being hidden anymore. Be it artists suffering from psychological issues or more serious health concerns such as cancer, artists are opening up, and coming forward to tell fans their story.
Just today, Lorin Ashton aka Bassnectar shared a heart warming note on his Facebook page, detailing his recovery from skin cancer. Warning his fans about the damages of the sun on our skin, the ‘Chasing Heaven‘ hitmaker urges everyone to take as much care as possible.
Ashton further discusses an incident during Mysteryland where he put on a little disguise, and roamed around the festival. He recalls meeting a guy named Sean, a burn victim, whose optimistic outlook on life helps him out things into perspective.
