It looks like Tomorrowland Brasil had a few lows to suffer this past weekend. With Like Mike’s irrational behavior already making headlines, the latest outrageous move has been carried out by popular Brazilian producer/DJ Alok who is being accused for playing a YouTube rip of deadmau5‘s unreleased track ‘Imaginary Friends‘.
Now before we officially move into the discussion, there is a single golden rule which producers/DJs alike are meant to abide by and i.e. you don’t play bad quality rips during live performances. A massive blunder and to a certain extent a breach in copyright laws, the Brazilian act has a few questions to answer after his most recent performance. Also, do note that the single has not been officially released and Joel himself has not sent a demo around for producers to use either. You can check out deadmau5‘s justified outbreak on Twitter and even press play on the video below to catch the moment when Alok made the biggest blunder of his career.
@deadmau5 Joel, did you let alok play "Imaginary Friends" at Tomorrowland Brasil?

It's not released, but funny to know there are still "big djs" out there getting paid to play shitty YouTube rips. https://t.co/QUJjPDHwmb

@deadmau5 Why would a DJ even do that to peoples ears!?

Because 90 percent of them don't have any idea what they're doing or why… Other than your money ofc. https://t.co/UGPek1JAVr

Dear @alokoficial please stop "performing" my unreleased music. Especially when you're getting paid to do so.
