Israeli director Alma Har’el, is well known for her ability to transcend the barriers which divide documentary and fiction and deliver powerful messages through her creations. Her latest exploration ‘LoveTrue‘, which uses the stories of three real life relationships in order to deconstruct the idea of true love, has been awaited by her followers for a while. Recently, she released a trailer for the movie and we’re not disappointed.
There is a offbeat haunting quality to the trailer which we are sure will translate into the movie as well. As she interviews musicians, dancers, and even children on the topic, we can expect the story to flow through dance and music sequences evoking a meditative state. And, also that she chose Flying Lotus to score the movie, makes complete sense judging from her past work and the theme of this movie. Har’el plans to share portions of the film, which will debut in Tribeca’s Documentary Competition during the festival.
