Skrillex’s sets are always filled with a sleuth of IDs, no matter where he plays. In a recent show at the Wav Nightclub in Atlantic City, the producer played a brand new ID in collaboration with rapper Rick Ross, that might possibly be the theme song for one of the most anticipated movies of the year, ‘Suicide Squad‘.
While there’s no guarantee that it might, the mention of ‘Suicide Squad‘, ‘Purple Lamborghini‘ and ‘Killer Croc‘ in the rap gives it certain credibility. The track also sees Skrillex collaborate with another rapper, after he produced ‘El Chapo‘ for The Game, back in September, as well as other collaborations with the likes of Vic Mensa, 2Chainz and A$AP Rocky, clearly marking Sonny’s interest in hip hop.
If the collaboration indeed turns out to be the theme song for Suicide Squad, it would mark Skrillex’s third contribution to the music for a film, after he did the sound design for Transformers: Age of Extinction, as well as the Noisia remix of his track ‘Bug Hunt‘ being used in Wreck-It-Ralph.
