The one of a kind spectacle, i.e Electric Daisy Carnival which takes place every year at LV Motor Speedway in Las Vegas has grown over half a decade to mark itself as a major FOMO-worthy attraction. And to further stand as a testament to its worldwide popularity, a recent report suggests EDC Las Vegas has generated more than $1.3 billion for Clark County’s economy since its move from Los Angeles back in 2011. Summing up the numbers, the iconic weekend festival has brought in more than 1.7 million fans to Sin City with overall tax revenues touching the mark of $81.4 million including a phenomenal $21.9 million generated solely in 2015.
Clark County Commission Chairman Steve Sisolak also shared his views on the same quoting-
“Each year EDC brings in hundreds of thousands of visitors to Las Vegas, including many who didn’t have a ticket to the festival, but wanted to experience the destination during EDC Week. From EDC to the overall entertainment appeal of Las Vegas, EDC Week gives these visitors an experience that only this town can offer.”
Pasquale Rotella, founder of the star-studded event said in a statement-
“It is incredible that in just five years our headliners have helped us generate more than $1.3 billion back to Las Vegas, a place I call home. I’m so grateful that I can do what I love while making a positive impact in the community”
And with all the pre-event hype and success the landmark show has achieved, we can’t wish nothing but even greater things from the Las Vegas iteration of EDC. This year’s edition returns to Las Vegas Motor Speedway from June 17-19.
