Most of us don’t need much to be happy – food in our stomachs, shelter over our heads and a good song to listen to. That is the world you get transported into once you listen to Lotus by Gate x IMLAY. One of the popular Korean electronic artists, IMLAY has been inundating the mainstream dance music scene for a while now. When Gate and IMLAY came together to produce this gem of a song, we were just happy.
This future bass melody is one that you can pop on and make the background score for any happy memory or activity. For some reason, it does remind us a little of Porter Robinson’s ‘Flicker’, but as the song proceeds, you will go on to see how they are different. Beginning with minimal electronic progressions in the beginning it reached the drop quite soon without much preamble. After the drop, the song is pumped up with big room instruments when it again reaches a drop. This drop then progresses into a snapshot of the entire song starting with melodious chords and ending with full bass scenes. Listen to it and relax away!
