What happens when two of electronic music’s biggest acts head into the studio? Absolute chaos. And that’s exactly the case with the brand new single “Hollywood” by Hardwell and Afrojack. After being tried and tested across festival mainstages throughout the past year, the Dutch EDM titans have finally let the beast out.
Staying true to their signature styles, the track starts with melodic plucks unleashing the synth chords in the background. Hands-in-the-air buildup will take you to an energetic drop with bouncy synths and a moving bassline roaring over a punchy kick while choppy vocals add to the funk part of the track during the momentary energy drop between the bars. And if the first drop felt humongous, prepare yourself for impact as the second one does twice the damage. No doubt this dual collaboration proves why they are considered the best in the game. But here’s the thing. Being two of the most well known faces in the industry, there’s an exceptional amount of expectation which wraps up the hype.
