Calvin Harris, Jamie xx And Aphex Twin Represent Dance Music In The 2016 BRIT Awards Nominations

At the back of a stellar 2015, Calvin Harris, Jamie xx and Aphex Twin were all nominated under various categories for the 2016 BRIT Awards, highlighting the fact that dance music is starting to get its long overdue recognition in the UK.

Calvin Harris got nominated for  British Artist Video and British Single for his 2015 hit ‘How Deep Is Your Love’, while also getting a nomination for British Male Solo Artist, along with Jamie xx and Aphex Twin. Jamie xx is represented in the British Album of the Year category for his album In Colour, and Major Lazer are nominated under the International Group category, along the likes of Alabama Shakes, Eagles of Death Metal, Tame Impala and U2.
