2015 saw Eric Prydz at his prime as the Swede legend had the spotlight on him all year. He began his onslaught to deliver some of the most stunning progressive house tracks complemented by some equally well curated live performances. The crowds were treated to his PRYDA 10 compilation EP, his newly curated Apple Beats One radio show which saw 6 episodes getting aired the previous year featuring countless IDs and a flurry of unreleased tracks during the span of the 2 hour sonic treat. The later half of 2015 saw the announcement of his much awaited album and his EPIC 4.0 show.
With exactly a month to go for the much awaited release of his album on February 5, the tracklist has reportedly leaked out to the public which was the result of a pre-order option sprouting on Amazon UK‘s webpage which not only revealed the tracklist but gave even more delight to the fans as “Opus” is reportedly set to be released as a double-disc LP. And since we are already aware about his “habit” of not giving names to his IDs, it will be interesting to see which ones actually make the final cut. The LP will features 19 tracks in all including previously released tunes like “Mija”, “Liberate”, “Every Day”, “Generate” and his latest masterpiece, “Opus”. Moreover, Disc 1 is full of unreleased tunes and features his latest unreleased track “Last Dragon” which was revealed during the debut of his radio show and also, surprisingly a collaborative track titled “Moody Mondays” with The Cut. If you are a die hard Prydz fan, you’ll know how unlikely and rare the word “collaboration” is with Eric. Disc Two features some of his more high profile tunes like “Breathe” in collaboration with Rob Swire, “Oddity”, and some other IDs presumably from his Cafe Mambo sets and “Matrix” which is likely to be his previous “New City Gas ID”.
