After 3 days of madness, the final day of Sunburn Goa 2015 arrived. Set to witness the remarkable sets from the likes of David Guetta, KSHMR, Sandro Silva, CID Inc and many more, the final day had the entry closing at 7 pm due to police advice. After seeing the significant increase in the number of people every day for 3 days, one might think that the crowd that Martin Garrix attracted was the peak and it can not get any better than that, but the final day of Sunburn had some other plans. The mainstage “Empire of The Sun” started off with the warm up sets from Shashank, Julia Bliss and Miss Tara. Sartek carried the energy and took it to the next level with some heavy basslines and booming bangers. Closing his set with his latest release on Hardwell’s Revealed Recordings, “Don’t Need Love”, Sartek made way for Sidney Samson. With his unique track selection, Sidney Samson’s mainroom set was more distinguishable than any other. Sidney Samson dropped some hiphop tunes alongside bass heavy tracks and the crowd couldn’t ask for more.
But the madness had just started. Soon it was time for the most awaited set of the night, time for KSHMR! KSHMR took the crowd on a journey to Kashmir through a story. Starting with a narration, KSHMR opened with the official Sunburn anthem ‘Bazaar’. The narrations accompanied by stellar visuals kept on coming from time to time to move the story forward, followed by the track relevant to the point of the story. KSHMR dropped all of his well received tracks like Secrets, Jammu, Heaven, etc one by one. He had a treat for the crowd in every track with a new edit. He played an ID for the first time ever specially for the Indian crowd. The highlight of the set has to be the time when his grandpa joined him on the stage and he dropped the famous Bollywood track “Kajra Re”. We haven’t seen the EDM fans going crazy on a Bollywood track like we did that time. Ending his set with ‘Kashmir’, Niles thanked the crowd and made way for the closing set by the one and only David Guetta. The mainstage cheered the loudest for Guetta and danced to his all time favorites like “Play Hard”, “Hey Mama”, “Dangerous” and many more! The amount of people waiting for his set was unmatchable! As the energy seemed to drop towards the end of the set, Guetta moved to his roots and dropped a Deep/Tech track, slowly lowering down the volume. As he started communicating with the crowd, he made the visuals and lights disappear. With only him, the crowd and the music, he created good 2 mins of tension and when the drop hit, we didn’t see anyone in the crowd standing still. Guetta ended his set with ‘Titanium’ and “Sexy B*tch”. That mesmerizing experience was cherished by people!
The Gionee stage featured Shaan & Friends for the final day with Sandro Silva, Brian Cross, Hollaphonic and more! After an opening set by One & One, Zenith and Kerano carried the duty of bringing the crowd to the energy of Sandro Silva. After Hollaphonic and Brian Cross made the crowd dance and jump on their beats, Shaan took the stage for some time to greet his fans with a good time. Sandro Silva’s wild electro set followed and saw the crowd going crazy. The stage closed with a smashing B2B set by Shaan and Sandro Silva!
While Techno/Deep House stage celebrated the homegrown talent like Ash Roy x Calm Chor, Bullzeye x Oozeundat, Folic State and more, the Psy stage moved on the tunes of Aphid Moon, Starling, Back To Mars and many more! Never Hide Sounds stage curated by the reputed, Grain, saw bass action started by Big City Harmonics, carried by Func, Tapan Raj and Grain.
Ultimately, the final day of Sunburn Goa 2015 was an awesome experience. Attendees were spotted becoming emotional with music and hugging their loved ones. The flairs lighting the sky towards the ending were amazing to see alongside the music. With a thank you note from the boss, Shailendra Singh, who promised the biggest ever Sunburn Goa next year for the 10th anniversary, Sunburn Goa 2015 wrapped up.
