2015 has been a mammoth year for Norwegian music producer Kygo to say the least. Recently, the tropical house giant dropped his single “Stay” featuring Maty Noyes which went on to become an instant hit in the span of a few hours. Moreover, he became the first dance music artist to perform at the Nobel Peace Prize Concert alongside the likes of artists such as a-ha, Aurora Aksnes, Jason Derulo, MO, and many more. His latest offering comes in the form of a beautiful acoustic performance of his track “Stay” which was recorded live at the Atlantis Studio on December 3rd. Comparing the original and acoustic versions would be pure injustice so I’ll leave that. Take out most of the elements like the tropical house sounds, sober basslines, the builds and the drops leaving the piano and vocals to work their magic and you’ll get the acoustic beauty. The talented musician seems to have made his acoustic acts a staple having earlier giving the same treatment to his track “Firestone” with Conrad. With already 2015 in his bag, 2016 has even bigger things planned with his much anticipated upcoming album and much more. Till then check out the scintillating acoustic rework below.
