Diplo, Skrillex And More Nominated For The 58th Grammy Awards

The nominations for the 58th Grammy Awards are out and there’s no further doubt that electronic music has proved its point at the highest level. Considered as one of the most prestigious awards in music, this year will see unarguably the most eclectic duo of Skrillex and Diplo as Jack Ü battle it out against heavyweights Above & Beyond, Flying Lotus , The Chemical Brothers and Galantis for Best Dance Recording. Surprisingly, the biggest track of the year “Lean On” by Major Lazer, DJ Snake and MO was snubbed by the the Recording Academy. The duo’s debut album has also received a nomination in the Best Dance/Electronic Album category and will clash against Disclosure, Caribou and Jamie xx. The Best Remixed Recording includes 5 nominees with Kaskade making a comeback with his rework of Galantis‘ track “You & I“. Lastly, and by far the most remarkable thing in the whole array of nominees is Diplo grabbing a place in Best Producer Of The Year (Non-Classical). The Mad Decent boss has had a massive 2015 producing as Jack Ü, Major Lazer as well as crafting several of his own hits and also for pop queen Madonna and MO.
