Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike’s collaboration with soul singer Ne-Yo, Higher Place, blew fans’ expectations out of the water. The 2015 DJ Mag leaders tried some deep house this time, and it worked.
Afrojack had other plans though.
After playing this track almost everywhere, his remix for Higher Place takes a more progressive route, with Ne-Yo’s vocals layered over deep piano keys and a snare riser increasing in intensity, finally culminating in a 4-to-the-floor fist-pumping drop that is sure to leave its mark at many more festivals to come.
