Martin Garrix Hits The Studio With Indie Rock Band Walk The Moon

Already on the back of a strong 2015, Martin Garrix doesn’t seem to be in the mood to stop. With collaborations with the likes of Tiesto, Usher and Matisse & Sadko already under his bag, and a possible collaboration with Linkin Park or Mike Shinoda, the young Dutch prodigy is hitting the studio yet again, this time with American indie rock band Walk The Moon‘s founder and vocalist Nicholas Petricca.

A crossover collaboration could only mean bigger things for Garrix as it’ll give him higher exposure to fans of other genres, and L.A.’s Truth Studios give a lowdown on what the artists were working on.

They connected almost immediately as Martin played through a few tracks and Nicholas started recording phone notes to get the ideas down. A majority of the session was spent working like that until they’d written a few full verse/hook ideas.

We recorded 6 or 7 takes for good measure and did a quick comp to see how it would take shape. Awesome session today, great surprise with two incredibly talented guys.

We can only imagine something good to come out of this collaboration, from the sounds of the description, but right now, all we can do is wait and watch.
