It’s been almost two years that techno heavyweight Joseph Capriati’s debut album, ‘Self Portrait’ got released on Adam Beyer’s Drumcode Records, and now, we’re finally witnessing a handful of tracks from the album receive stirring re-inventive treatment. The remix pack consists of remixes from Coyu, Julian Jeweil, Luigi Madonna and topped-up by the one and only Dubfire.
As the techno legend leads, he injects his touch on Capriati’s ‘Fratello’ and turns it into a blackened, dusty and a gritty production. Having remixed Hot Since 82’s original recently, we could easily observe traces of elements carried forward yet sounding like a full fledged rejuvenated techno number. With a shady construction like this, one can only dream of a dark techno club night that just wouldn’t end. Get Dubfire’s remix of Joseph Capriati’s ‘Fratello’ off Beatport.
