Monstercat has repeatedly proven themselves as one of the most exciting and fresh recording labels to hit the music industry. Their impressive artist roster includes talented producers all over the world, this time we are focusing on Nigel Good who has released a piece of art in the form of “No Way Back Up“, made in collaboration with Illuminor.
An epic intro replete with grand violin and organ part; this part is almost cinematic musically. Very reminiscent of Deadmau5 in build up and chord structures, Nigel’s cutting edge production skills are in full display here. Illuminor’s vocals are on point when they are introduced with an almost dreamy groove with the bass beautifully filling the ambient surroundings. Nigel’s use with flanger has been incredible and overall the song has the vibe of a grand epochal cinema, expect this to be the closing track for all of Nigel’s future gigs. You can hear it below:
