The past year has been a massively successful year for dance music. In order to toast to this achievement and give due credits to the best in across 57 categories pertaining to this genre, 30th Annual International Dance Music Awards was held in Miami last week. These categories recognised the World’s top DJs, labels, renowned clubs and technology manufacturers. Calvin Harris and Hardwell stole the show with a number of awards. ‘Summer’ took home the trophy for this year’s Best Music Video and Hardwell got crowned as the Best Global DJ.
From Deadmau5 winning the award for the Best Solo Artist to Skrillex dominating the Dubstep category to Tiesto’s debut album, ‘A Town Called Paradise’ being labeled as the Best Full Length Studio Recording to Claude Vonstroke’s, ‘Dirtybird Records’ and Madeon, Galantis, Oliver Heldens and Armin Van Buuren winning in their respective fields, IDMAs honoured all faces behind such a fantastic past year.
The IDMAs got the crowd nostalgic about the most memorable year for dance music till date and got them looking forward to an even bigger and better 2015. View the winners across all 57 categories here.
