Future Music Festival's Asia Leg Gets Cancelled

Future Music Festival‘s Asian leg has been cancelled due to a failure in obtaining license for the festival. The festival, which was scheduled to be held on the 13th and 14th March at the Changhi Exhibition Center, Singapore, had its application rejected after the police cited ‘major drug concerns‘  for the festival, after last year’s mishap, which included six drug overdoses and numerous hospitalisations at the third day of the festival.

With this year’s edition being the first one to be held in Singapore after a successful 3 year stint in Kuala Lumpur, Livescape Singapore, the organisers of the festival, had sold 75% of the tickets for the festival, before the announcement of its cancellation. However, ticket buyers have been assured full refunds on their tickets from Livescape Singapore.

There is no news on the future plans of FMF in Asia, but we can only hope it gets resolved as soon as possible. Check out the statement by Future Music Festival, announcing the cancellation of the festival
