As we inch closer towards French wonderkid Madeon‘s debut album release, expectation and anticipation seems to be going off the roof. However, the young prodigy seems to be falling through, as he unveils one more from the 12-track mega album, through the guise of a collaboration with American Indie-electronica band Passion Pit. The track was earlier previewed via Madeon‘s social media, but now we get a full flavor of the emphatic new collaboration as Madeon steps up the pace and changes gears ferociously.
The track marries the perfect euphoric vocals from Passion Pit and the bouncy optimistic soundscape of Madeon, as we are immediately ushered into a funky guitar synth amidst a festivious sonic terrain. The track continues to build from this point on, with chirpy vocals and sharper synth breaks a-la-Madeon style. The track pushes for a kind of de-categorization as it previews semblances of Indie, Electronica, Pop and Future House. We certainly can’t wait for the entire ‘Adventure‘ experience, but for now, enjoy ‘Pay No Mind‘!
