One of the most talked about and awaited Eric Prydz from his Ultra 2014 set, his astoundingly breath taking remix of CHVRCHES’ Tether has finally seen the light of day. The master Swede producer had literally blown all our minds away with this remix.
However, our minds weren’t the only ones blown away. “I was really surprised by that, I had no idea he had done anything with the track,” Guitarist and bassist of the band Iain Cook explained during a Reddit AMA. “I saw the video of his performance at Ultra in Miami and it kinda blew my mind a bit.”
Prydz explained he first started working on the edit during his 2014 tour of Australia with Future Music Festival. After spending the Northern summer “perfecting the arrangement,” this week he was finally ready to share the finished product.
The track itself features classic signature Eric Prydz/Pryda synth arpeggios. Layered along with the uplifting chorus, the entire arrangement is so beautifully euphoric, it could bring tears to your eyes. It’s one of our favourite reworks at The Bangin Beats. The synth horn work, and the constant build ups lead you to a land where nothing else but the music exists. The breakdown with the constantly echoed vocals, along with the uplfiting horn melodies, add inexplicable splendour to an already breathtaking track.
