Seems like a controversy that no one would want to be caught up in, has unfortunately sprung up for the Disclosure duo and AlunaGeorge in form of a legal suit filed against the two acts.
songwriter Katie Farrah Sopher claimed that the lyrics to some of the hit tracks including ‘Latch’, ‘White Noise’ and ‘Attracting Flies’ by these acts were in fact written by her.
In her report, Sopher stated that her songbook containing these lyrics were stolen by her violent ex-boyfriend Sean Sawyers, in 2009 and then used in the industry without her permission. Although, Sawyers has denied any such claims in a statement issued by him, “I am denying all the allegations … There is zero truth to the claims made against me. I never saw the book the claimant mentions [so] I could not have committed the alleged damages, theft, (and) copyright infringement.”
