Alex Sacco and Doug Lyons may be unfamiliar names for those of you living under a rock, but the Electro/Trance/House duo titled Sokko & Lyons has been making waves across EDM with its catchy remakes of some rather viral tracks, from I Need Your Love to Stereo Love. MDMA is always on the news for several reasons over the festival season, from 120 arrests at Melbourne Music Festival to Molly related deaths at Electric Zoo. Sokko & Lyons take a stale, over-debated and long-forgotten topic and thrust it back into the limelight with Alex’s group project assignment. Still students in University of Oregon, the two shuffle time between work and college, and this hilarious duo does not reject the use of drugs but instead sheds light on safer use and alternatives. Now, we have a lot of chemistry jokes for MDMA but we’re afraid they won’t get a good reaction. (Haha.. ha..)
