One of Pryda Recordings‘ most promising acts, Jeremy Olander has officially released his much awaited The Jackie EP. Olander, who’s known for his unique, progressive sound, has endeared himself to house fans all over the world in a rather short span. And now with the release of his latest EP, he is set to solidify his position as one of the torchbearers of progressive house.
The EP features 3 tracks, some of which have already been featured in Jeremy‘s sets of late, while also having featured in Above & Beyond‘s legendary radio show Group Therapy.
The EP kicks off with Jackie, which was also featured on Jeremy‘s guest mix on Group Therapy a couple of weeks back. Jackie starts off on a subtle note, building up slowly into a wonderful, progressive tune which comes into its own right in the middle of the track, with a beautifully laid synth melody, coupled with a groovy bassline.
Easily the best track on the EP, DLIGTY has Jeremy Olander‘s magic sprinkled all over it. Starting off with a rather intriguing melody, the track progresses into a gorgeous concoction of an intriguing bassline, funky chord progression and what can best be described as a computerised rhythm.
The third and final track of the EP, Lauderdale drives the EP into a more darker direction, with the initial foot tapping bassline turning into a groovy melody, with subtle synth progressions which are perfect for a dark, intimate set at a club, meant to dance the night away.
Jeremy Olander has indeed produced a stupendous EP which he would be proud of in years to come. A definitely must have in your playlist. We insist!
The EP is out on Pryda Recordings and you can buy it from here.
