Eric Prydz’ Call On Me is, without a doubt, up there with one of the most sexiest, titillating dance music videos of all time. It’s got a group of really attractive women in slinky flesh-flashing leotards, hip thrusting and exercising to the beat of one of dance-music’s most infectious grooves. We all remember it, don’t we?
Now Aktiv Against Cancer, an organization that not only promotes physical activity as a means of preventing cancer, but also encourages cancer patients to take an active role to improve their physical health during rehabilitation and treatment, have remade the video with a special message: “To prove that cancer doesn’t have to kill your confidence.”
“It’s difficult to be confident without your hair, eyebrows and a weird looking chest,” says one of the stars in the behind-the-scenes video. “It’s been liberating to be in the spotlight. It feels fantastic.”
But the campaign isn’t just about building confidence, it’s also about inspiring cancer patients to be more active. “If physical activity was a pill, it would be the most prescribed medicine in the world“, says Grete Waitz, co-founder of AKTIV Against Cancer.
