It’s time for a huge makeover at Toolroom as the label has just launched a brand new campaign #RESET. What makes this amendment diverse is the contradictory act of reaching back to the roots instead of moving on to the mainstream sounds. #RESET reignites the thirst for house music at Toolroom and so will it among the fans. Refocusing on the trustworthy genre of house, with a strong musical vision, taut artist roster, new album series and new events concept, the label is set to see one of the most widespread revolutions it has ever seen.
“After ten years, I wanted to show the world what we stand for musically. And that’s what #RESET is all about.” says Mark Knight.
On-board are some passionate artists like Weiss, whose proclivity for deep jacking grooves, sweet sharp percussion and delicate vocal treatment have had mesmerized large audiences from day one, and Argentinian tech talent, Adrian Hour whose ability to make unique and unforgettable main room techno stands head and shoulders above the rest.
“Toolroom is a natural home for me because… they gave me that opportunity that another labels didn’t… Toolroom has the chance to release a big Techno track, or big House track, or Deep House, etc. And that is what I like – creative freedom.” says Hour.
Other artists blessed with the freedom to release across the wide spectrum include London-based duo Tough Love, long-term Toolroom label mates Prok & Fitch and Rene Amesz and Doorly who remains central to the native sound alongside US based Amtrac. Lastly and most importantly is the label leader Mark Knight without whom the list would never be complete. We all know a decade’s worth of experience leading the label and numerous years of understanding in production and touring has brought Knight the ability to overlap the underground and commercial sounds in a certainly unparalleled fashion.
“It’s going to be a great time for dance music over the coming years. And we’re going to be right at the center of that, trust me.” Knight added.
An additional highlight to the campaign is the brand new album concept of ‘Toolroom Live’ where key artists will be focused and bestowed with the opportunity to present new tracks giving fans a taste of the live experience. ‘Toolroom Live 01’ the first album will feature mixes by Mark Knight, Weiss and Adrian Hour taking fans on a journey from underground house music right through to main room techno. But this is not the end.
To truly give you a feel of the #RESET concept, the massive label is bringing for you the ‘Toolroom Live Tour’ providing its best experience in a live arena fitting in the brand new concept as an alignment between their musical vision, musical output and events.
