After over four dozen hospitalizations marred Avicii’s Boston performance, dance music was once again pushed into an unattractive spotlight with increased scrutiny and crackdowns on anything illegal. In response to all these unfavourable events, the Barclays Center has taken an aggressive stance against the rule allowing all ages fans at Avicii’s performance on Saturday night.
Any fan under the age of 18, as well as any individuals who seemed visibly influenced were disallowed entry. Security also ID’ed every ticket holder, including any underage adolescents despite having legitimate purchased tickets.
Obviously, this created a large ruckus of underage teens and unhappy parents, disappointed and furious that they could not attend, despite being accompanied by adults.
Do you think all festivals should be 18 and above only? Leave us with your thoughts via comments.
