Leeds based prolific producer Daley Padey aka Hot Since 82 has essentially redefined the sound of Deep House since his appearance on the scene a couple of seasons back. His tracks are heavily awaited, his remixes are highly requested and his newest moody venture – a remix for Proper house veterans Noir & Haze, shows why he is indeed one of the hottest producers in the Dance music fraternity! His remix of ‘Angel‘ brings forth everything melodic and beautiful about Deep House as we take a trip into Daley’s fantastically molded soundscape.
The track takes certain previously used drumline and break elements from the Hot Since 82 cupboard as we hear that familiar flattened siren sound we first heard on his remix for Shadowchild. The track takes Hot Since 82’s love for the industrial percussion sounds as he combines it with the original vocal hook for ‘Angel‘. A gentle synth melody attaches itself to the main arrangement before it bends and turns to take its own shape around the break. A dark and delightful moody rendition from the original, this track still has enough firepower to hold its own on any dancefloor designed to jam.
