American supertalent Amtrac strikes yet again as he conjures up yet another smashing duo of dancefloor jams, in the guise of this fantastic new EP released on Black Book Audio and Armada Records! The ‘Undefeated/Primal‘ combination gives evidence of the producers mercurial talent, as he unleashes two absolute belter tracks designed to wreak havoc on the dancefloor while still adding his own unique style of cutting edge sound design.

 

 

The first track ‘Undefeated‘ initially sounds like a Deep house sound gone 128BPM -thanks to the rolling bassline and pitched vocals. But as more and more layers come to the fore, the soundscape settles in with additional vocal samples and synth progressions. The track becomes unpredictable as various layers of bass and percussion fold the sonic terrain into paths uncharted. The B-side features a very alternate ‘Primal‘ that builds on an almost trance-y foreground, with flangering synth effects and uplifting FX. As we move into the break, the beat settles down into a acid-club sound combo that makes this track a very hard one to pin down on any one genre. Perhaps, Amtrac was trying to outline his love for various sounds within the Dance Music sphere and he does a fine job as we rush through various sonic expressions within the Electronica universe through ‘Primal‘.
