Orla Feeney - Lilyhammer [EP]

Any track that gets released on Paul van Dyk’s Vandit label is nothing less than a gemstone. This time, Ireland’s fresh female talent Orla Feeney who as a producer, DJ and radio presenter, gives us a triple threat. We knew that Ireland always embraced Trance music, but now,  due to DJs like Orla, even harder styles are whole heartedly embraced.

Notably leaving her mark on the Vandit discography with enduring club rockers like ‘Bittersweet’, ‘Pink Noise’ and ‘Two Faced‘, Orla is back to kill the floor with two more included in her all new Lilyhammer EP.

The EP’s title track, Lilyhammer is an absolute hammer with enormously compressed beats, clipped percussion, and glacial, wonderland-like sub-melodies that will be supported from the biggest names in the trance scene. It’s straight forward uplifting trancer that wins your admiration in one go with its dark hearted light as the track opens up and finally explodes into an uplift.

Second in the EP is Orla’s classic Vandit track Comic Stripped 2014 that strikes back for an awesome mouth-watering version. ‘Comic’ by name, super-serious by nature, its pointed little electro synths and hard-square waveforms support the drop’s deep oceanic pads and ecstatic riffs. If you love chunky grooves, electro freaked out bass lines and fantastic uplifting synths in the breakdown don’t look any further because you’ve got what you were searching for.
