With the completion of major premier football leagues across Europe and South America, all attention shifts towards the greatest sporting event on the planet – the Football World Cup! With Pitbull, Jennifer Lopez, David Correy and Fatboy Slim all leaving their mark and contributing to the World Cup flavor, the Official World Cup anthem has been missing from the ranks. And finally, with just a couple of days to go for the release of the Official World Cup Album ‘One Love, One Rhythm’, we are presented ‘Dar um Jeito (We Will Find a Way)’!
In Portuguese ‘Dar Um Jeito‘ means to find a way around obstacles and impossibilities, and in the words of two-time Grammy-nominee and lyricist for the song, Ash Pournouri, they wanted to send a message of optimism and opportunity with the music and the words. The anthem is composed by honorary musical legends including guitar legend Carlos Santana, Brazilian Latin Grammy winner Alexandre Pires and Haitian-American rapper Wyclef Jean. And assisting them with his own unique brand of electronic skill set is Swedish stalwart Avicii. The ‘Wake me up’ hit-maker had been announced to collaborate with the legends many months ago, and things have been kept tightly under wraps till now! Besides being featuring on the Official album, and now to be played countless times by Football fanatics till kick-off approaches, the anthem shall be performed Live on July 13th at the FIFA World Cup closing ceremony!
