It’s a huge week for Jono, Tony and Paavo, members of one of dance music’s most loved trio, Above & Beyond, who have broached a true career milestone this week, having become not only the first British DJs to headline Madison Square Garden, but to sell it out as well.
“Having the chance to perform at the world’s most famous arena, Madison Square Garden, is really the fulfillment of a career-long ambition for us. Celebrating #ABGT100 there is a huge honor. Thank you to all our loyal and lovely fans who have supported the event so far – see you in New York, New York.” – Jono, Tony, Paavo
Their hit Sticky Fingers, which we got to hear for the very first time during their ABGT50 show, finally has a film noir stylised video, almost akin to the legendary Alfred Hitchcock’s timeless classic Vertigo. The video itself, explores the themes of a shattered love and it’s lasting effects, brought beautifully to life by Alex Vargas’ brilliantly emotive vocals.
The video follows a protagonist who’s clearly torn between the remnant emotions for a past love as he struggles to differentiate between reality and fantasy. He fantasizes about her existence throughout, as he struggles to come to terms with a life without her.
It’s a brilliant visualization of the emotional whirlwind induced by the song itself. Check the video out below!
The single is set to release May 19th on Anjunabeats & Ultra Music.
