If you’re one of those who’d be disappointed to miss out on Tomorrowland this year, then MTV’s latest announcement is going to make your day!

Yesterday the premier global music channel, MTV announced that it will exclusively broadcast live event footage from the Belgian EDM festival as a part of the MTV World Stage Programming. This would be the first time that the festival will be televised across as many as 550 million homes worldwide, as it celebrates its 10th anniversary this year.

The extravagant event which most EDM fans look forward to, will be featuring top artists like Armin Van Buuren, Tiesto, Hardwell, Diplo and Eric Prydz this summer and for the first time, you can live the experience sitting right in front of your TV. In addition to this, MTV will also be airing two 1 hour world stage specials on Tomorrowland in August and releasing a documentary celebrating the festival’s 10th anniversary in late 2014.

Bruce Gillmer, the Executive Vice President Of Talent and Music Programming/Events at Viacom International Media Networks said “Tomorrowland is a festival in a category of its own, so we’re excited to bring this content to MTV’s international audiences. Electronic dance music has been part of MTV’s repertoire for almost two decades, stretching right back to the early years – particularly in Europe. So working with Tomorrowland is a perfect fit, and connects us with the new generation of EDM fans and followers around the world.”
