The iconic deadmau5‘ logo which has become a signature symbol representing Joel Zimmerman and his music for long is now facing investigation from Disney as the Canadian producer registered to trademark his logo. Disney claims that deadmau5′ infamous mouse logo is extensively similar to their cartoon character Mickey Mouse.
Last Friday, Disney notified the U.S. Trademark Office that it is investigating a trademark registration filed by Deadmau5.
Also last year, Zimmerman’s Ronica Holdings Limited applied for a mark consisting of a caricature of a mouse head with black ears, black face, white eyes and white mouth. The following image is deadmau5′ attempted registration that would cover classes including electrical and scientific apparatus, vehicles (specifically BMX bikes), paper goods, leather goods, toys and sporting goods, staple foods (like coffee), light beverages and entertainment services.
