Swedish heartthrob Tim Bergling better known as Avicii sent social media on a frenzy yesterday as news broke out of him being hospitalized. With very little confirmation about what was the reason, speculation began to arise that his highly-anticipated Ultra Music Festival Mainstage performance was in jeopardy. We can now confirm that Avicii will indeed step down from his scheduled performance as he will go in for an operation later today.
Speaking out on Twitter about the reasons, the ‘Wake me up’ hitmaker explained that recurring pains in his pancreas has forced him to make this decision. He further tweeted that he will be operated upon by doctors at Miami to remove his gall bladder, insisting that his recovery will be complete in time for his US True Tour.
I’m really sorry but as some of you have already heard, i will not be playing Ultra Festival this Weekend.
