For any dance music fan having one of the best DJ’s in the world perform in your living room is quite simply a far fetched dream and when the artist in question is Eric Prydz that dream gets even grander. Well, for one lucky contest winner from Sydney, Australia that dream turned into a glorious reality recently.
Michael, the lucky winner of the unbelievable ‘Eric Prydz House Party’ competition described the scene in his living room fittingly saying it was the best night of his life which saw one of the most admired names in dance music stop by for a stunning 90-minute set.
Interestingly, a couple of years ago, Michael had flown to Ibiza to see Eric Prydz play at the monumental nightclub, Amnesia but owing to an unfortunate delay in his flight, he only made it inside the club 10 minutes before the end of Prydz’s set. This time around it was just meant to be, he was right in the centre of his living room for the entirety of Eric’s set and was flanked by 30 very lucky friends of his and two runner-up’s who were also invited, with drinks taken care of by Stoli, Miller and Jack Daniels.
After his Pryda comrades Jeremy Olander and Fehrplay had warmed up, the man of the hour got up on the decks for a 90 minutes a few privileged fans would always remember. The set per se, was an unfathomable experience as you’d expect. The ace Swedish producer kept those present dancing with elan while he dropped a number of his hits and posed for photos with the elated crowds who crowded around the CDJs and in great style he signed off by sculling a beer to the crowd’s chants.
