With a host of international DJs showing a desire to produce for a Bollywood soundtrack, Australian producer/DJ Sampology may have just found his own way out to do it! Currently on tour of his continent in an exciting new project called “Beyond Bollywood“, Sampology has used various visual and audio samples from his recent visit to India and his rework of Danny Brown‘s infectious hip-hop groove ‘Dip‘ now features a video starring none other than Rishi Kapoor and Sridevi! Yup, you read that right!
While the original clip for ‘Dip‘ was directed by Rollo Jackson, showing Danny Brown’s footage from various shows and a partly animated and colourful crop up, the creative adaptation by Sampology brings forth an audio and visual treat-one that will light up eyes of his Indian fans with glee and pride!
Indian fans may recall the yesteryear classic “Chandni“,which features a-not-so-young Rishi Kapoor declaring his love for Sridevi through vociferously typical Bollywood antics! Running around on a hill and hip thrusting dance moves et all, Sampology digitally replaces Rishi Kapoor’s face in the video with a sketchy pink and blue poster face of Danny Brown himself!
The video is a treat and a joy to watch, and adds a little more pleasure for us watching it, given its Indian references. Check out the awesome video and rework below just for your viewing pleasure!
