Having just delivered one of the best essential mixes till date, Matthew Dear aka Audion has brought back to life one of his most memorable tunes ‘Mouth To Mouth’ of 2006. For those who didn’t know, not only does the hypnotic 12 minutes and 54 seconds of the original stayed overwhelming for himself that time, but shined out in sets of every huge DJ on the planet for quite a long time, and still mark significance in the history of dance music. Now what better way could be to celebrate the 10 year anniversary of the hit track than inviting some of dance music circuit’s experts to contribute to the superior original.
While every remix in the package is unmissable, one remix that caught our sincere attention is that of Dubfire. The techno heavyweight’s take on the original is unique in all senses. Right from the signature style of himself infused deeply into the modification, to the utilisation of the parts of the original, Dubfire has created the original even more danceable as per the modern criteria. He says in his Soundcloud description:
I can’t quite remember where I was when I first heard this masterpiece from Matt Dear but it resonated with me instantly. And judging by how many DJs got behind it “Mouth to Mouth” was destined to become a classic. The 10 year anniversary is quite special for me not only because of how timeless and relevant the track remains, but 2006 was also the year I branched out as a solo artist. So thank you Matt for the inspiration and I hope my take on it complements the original masterpiece.
