The EDM family suffered an incredible loss last December as we lost a prolific producer in the guise of Bingo Player Paul Baümer. His contribution to music and the effect he’s had on his partner and best friend Maarten Hoogstraten can perhaps never be replicated. However, the folks at Winter Music Conference have come forth with a touching gesture, one that will see producers and fans remember the vital contribution of Paul besides focusing on raising both awareness and funds for cancer research.

Come December, the iconic Winter Music Conference will hold a special gathering which will include artists such as Bingo Players, Carl Tricks, Dada Life, David Tort, Henry Fong, MAKJ, Tommy Trash and more to be announced in the coming weeks. It has further been announced that the proceedings from the event will go towards the Dutch and American Cancer research society. Here’s what the organisation had to say:

Remembrance is, in its meaning, the action of remembering someone. To me, dance music has always symbolized a certain vitality, energy and celebration of life. To combine both the forward-looking celebration and the remembering of things past for a positive purpose makes it all the more powerful. Many people are dealing with cancer on a daily basis and I hope we can create an environment where people can share their stories, celebrate the memory of those that have passed and the life we thankfully still have.

It’s sure to be an emotional night with such a plethora of talent gathered for such a noble cause, yet another heart warming initiative that Dance music has made a reality. Stay tuned for more on this topic!
