The year that just went by, proved to be one of the biggest and most notable years for all spheres of electronic music. Internationally, many artists set new benchmarks and some even introduced the world to a new sound. Certain artists also delivered memorable sets at some of the worlds biggest festivals which set the bar higher than ever before.

In India, the year proved to be of great significance in terms of dance music and its reach. The year saw some of the most renowned dance music talents from all across the world, make their way to the country and deliver performances which are still etched in many a fans mind.

2013 however, also proved to be an exciting & delightful year for many of our very own domestic talents with scorching performances and power-packed releases who proved to many, why India is slowly but surely rising to be one of the main hubs of electronic dance music in the world and re-enforced the belief in the existence of a sea of talent in the country.

Having integrated himself into the electronic music industry in India at a very young age, Anish has learnt a lot from his peers who have guided him through the years. This year Anish played at sLick’s showcase at ADE in Amsterdam representing Homegrown talent.

One of the youngest DJs this country has ever seen has achieved a lot this year including playing at one of the best night clubs in the world when he played at the iconic Ministry of Sound in London. He has spent this year juggling between University, DJing and Producing and managed to make time for it all. “Bharat” his latest music video has a deep hidden meaning that music is made for all ages and is appreciated by all.

The bad boy of bass in India had nothing short of a phenomenal year following the release of not one but two EP’s – “Alarm Symphony” on The Pooty Club Records imprint and “Under The Light” on Rub A Duck. He also delivered booming live sets while playing at the Dub Station Stage at NH7’s first edition in Kolkata and the very first Enchanted Valley Carnival in Mumbai.
