Is the Deadmau5 – Armin van Buuren collaboration dead?

A little over a year ago, fans of the dance music universe went ballistic as two of the biggest names in the industry worked up a storm as they discussed a possible collaboration with each other. Fans of both Armin van Buuren & Deadmau5 went into a social media furore as both the pioneers of their own forte shared messages between them and later, audio samples of the probable collaboration were passed around.

However, a year later, it seems that the would have been historic project has gone cold and Joel may have lost interest. According to a fan known as Jankelope, who posted to the sub-reddit on Deadmau5’s recently brought forth online community portal,  live.deadmau5.com, Joel seems to have “gotten bored” with the project and “was not going to finish the Armin collab”.

If this is to believed, it certainly spells disappointment for the hordes of fans who have been awaiting this collaboration to finish for months, ever since hearing parts of it which were shared between the two producers. Hopefully, Joel may have a change of heart and this massive production will see the light of day.
