Insomniac revealed yesterday that they will be taking their spectacular festival to Mexico City, Mexico in March 2014. After hosting a sold-out EDC London, the organization’s first international location, the EDM stronghold has decided to further spread its wings and move south of where it all began.
“After the success of our first international endeavor this summer with EDC London, fans from around the world expressed an interest in experiencing EDC in their home towns,” said Pasquale Rotella, CEO and founder of Insomniac.
Partnering up with OCESA, a subsidiary of GRUPO CIE, which is the leader of the entertainment sector of Latin America, Insomniac will host the event at the Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez (racetrack) in Mexico City. Known for its state-of-the-art production and set up, EDC Mexico is sure to be as big a hit as the rest of their locations. Millions of dance music enthusiasts travel vast distances to experience the EDC set up and line ups in Chicago, New York, Orlando and Puerto Rico.
“The Electric Daisy Carnival is iconic in dance culture in the United States and we are thrilled to partner with Insomniac to bring the festival to Mexican audiences,” said Leizer Guss, OCESA, Producer. “The experience that EDC Mexico will create is truly unlike any festival that has ever been produced in the country.”
The early bird passes will be available on Tuesday, December 17th on www.Ticketmaster.com.mx.
