Months ago there was news of Diplo’s involvement in a feature film, in collaboration with one of America’s largest media company, Fox. The new movie has locked in David Katzenberg to spearhead the project. David is set to direct the EDM based film which is reportedly “8 Mile meets Project X“.

David already has a substantial number of projects under his belt, from a string of successful shows on MTV to the remake of It & Gremlins, future projects that are being developed by his company Katzsmith.

Diplo’s involvement revolves around his performance at a music festival that three teens are attempting to attend. Diplo will also be an executive producer alongside Kevin Kusatsu.

This project appears to be the biggest out of all the dance music related films that are currently underway. We can’t wait to see what’s in store!
