For our 4th release on Juicebox Music, we come back home to India and snap up “Both Sides”, a fantastic single from Chennai based artist – Tanseer. Creating each sound from scratch, his exceptional production skills have gained him high acclaim amongst key players in the industry which lead to his ‘Rebound / Skydive’ EP being selected as one of Beatport’s Best Progressive House release of 2012. With “Both Sides”, Tanseer means serious business as he unleashes every weapon his production arsenal. A heavy groove topped with a plethora of harmonic rhythms, bright stabs and soaring melodies makes this, in every right, epic. Dare we say, a possible contender for a future classic?
For the first remix, we called upon one of the fastest rising breakthrough artists hailing from UK – Dale Middleton. Continuing a stellar track record, his nothing-short-of-brilliant interpretation of “Both Sides” with tougher grooves, pulsing basslines and counter melodies retains the intensity & vibe of the original while giving it a more modern finish.
Pune based – Color Ray, considered as a hidden gem in India, straps up and delivers the second & final remix with his spacey atmospheric version. An icy cool groove sprawled with sparkling synths, additional intoxicating melodies and clever edits makes this perfect for late nights.
The Bangin Beats was in conversation with Color Ray, about his remix. Here’s what he had to say:
TBB: How would you best describe your music?
Color Ray: Well, i love spacey pads and atmospheric textures.. So the best way i would describe my music is spacey and atmospheric but groovy at the same time.
TBB: How did the Tanseer remix come about?
Color Ray: It was quite a tough one for me to be honest.. I had multiple thoughts and approaches towards the remix, still have like 6 different versions of it 
After alot of brainstroming i chose the best elements out of all the 6 versions and put them together to finalize the remix.
TBB: Are there any upcoming Color Ray releases?
Color Ray: Yeah i already have a bunch of originals and remixes lined up which i would be posting on my soundcloud page soon
